What was your first jrock band?

Mine was orange range! Because i looked up bleaches first opening and found they were the band that made it! So then i moved on into some jmetal and jpop

Well the first Japanese rock artist i ever listened to was Gackt. This is how i got into j-music and the funny thing is that it had nothing to do with animes. I discovered him by accident on a socializing site don't remember if it was Hi5 or Myspace or something like that. Well anywayz, i saw lots of Gackt photos on a girl's profile and i was thinking: "Uwa! This beautiful woman is actually a guy??" That's pretty much the reaction people get when they first see Gackt photos. I was no exception.
So i started listening to his music and fell inlove with it instantly. Then i discovered L'Arc-en-Ciel by watching the movie "Moonchild" starring Gackt and Hyde (the lead singer of L'Arc-en-Ciel). I really recommend the movie. I could only watch it once tho because i cryed a lot. Yeah, i'm a crybaby.

Oh the movie is really really really awesome! Hyde plays a vampire and at some point, the only sort of friend he had, of course another vampire, decides to die, so Hyde is left all alone. He runs and hides in an abandoned building and that's where a kid finds him. Hyde was very weakened, so the kid and his friends (who were petty thieves; they lived in a weird world somewhere in the future) start dragging him to their hiding place. They lived together, the kids grew up, Hyde of course remaining young. They kept doing their robberies and the people they killed were Hyde's food.
Then starts a love story... actually love triangle between Gackt, Hyde and the girl, so Hyde decides to leave. They are reunited again some time later but... Well i can't tell you any more than this because i'll ruin the story for you and the ending. Really you should watch it. It's also funny seeing Hyde and Gackt syncronising their attacks.
At some point there were gunfires everywhere and Hyde kept dodging them and Gackt was like: "Stop that! Those bullets can't kill you anywayz!" and Hyde sais: "Yeah, but they still sting! You should check out your jacket, it has a whole in it from a bullet!" Gackt looks at it, sees the whole and gets really pissed and starts shooting everyone yelling: "You bastards, do you know how much this jacket costed???" You have to see this, see Gackt's expression while yelling at them. I couldn't stop laughing!

Oh right, anyway, I'm not really sure what my first j-music band was... I guess it was Nightmare since the op and ed of Death Note. It was kinda unexpected at first, I was thinking of a darker music but after it really started to just get into your ears...
I still didn't venture myself much in it but there's a thing about J-music melody that it seems to hit the point. It's a bit hard to explain... I normally like how they make the guitar sound too. But ofc, I'm just saying this carelessly (wink)

Aaaaaaa Iru-chan, you can not put Moonchild and Twilight in the same space. It would be an insult for Moonchild. Yep, me's a Twilight hater. Teehee!
Anywayz, there's also just a bit of shounen-ai in Moonchild. Sort of. Just a... ummm... just a little shadow of shounen-ai. Really, you must see it. Hyde and Gackt together is always something big.
