hey is the only person who even got this remotely right. A comic is simply the format of telling a story through juxtaposed pictures - which includes manga. Manga is just a word used to describe the style of comics which come from Japan, which are USUALLY (but not always) uncolored, read right to left, and have a certain style of art, characterized by large eyes, elaborate hair and other elements.

They're both sports. Football is just one example of a sport, just like manga is one example of a comic.

I'm one of those kind of people if they ever confuse western comics with mangas. Also when people try to tell me the correct way of pronouncing manga like they know more than me. Trust me, I know alot.

That was like 2 years ago that this dude is trying to correct me on everything on manga. That really pissed me off. I mean the dude only just found out about manga a week earlier.
