im sure it is , people have less money so most likey they hold off on buying newer stuff and things , im sure this entertainment might be effected by the economy

If manga gets wiped out someone is bound to revive it. So I wouldn't worry about it too much.

No, tbh, manga, atleast to the worldwide community/fanbase, is threatened really by the Japan’s Digital Comic Association. Sure you noticed it already, visitors of online manga sites.
