Best ways to save money?

So Lex and I have been going over our finances since we both have jobs now... but as it looks it doesn't look like we will be able to move out of his parents house... and were also trying to think of ways to make the wedding as cheap as possible... I know for groceries i'm gonna become an extreme couponer... cause with our jobs and the heat we will be working in we gotta keep our bodies going on snacks and fruit... so I wanna know if anyone has some suggestions to save money... cause i know being as cheap as possible... but i need more suggestions lol

When Shopping for stuff like meat buy the largest pacgage you can find then split it, wrap it in plastic wrap, and freeze it. It's cheaper per ounce that way.

Also, when you buy food shop by price per ounce, not per box. You may think the bigger box of the off brand is a better deal but sometimes the price to ounce, as in the amount of food your actually getting, is cheaper for a smaller package. Some of the big boxes are just air.

Two words: No TV. you can watch shows on the internet for free, so save yourself 50+ a month by not paying for cable.

We do buy things per ounce and not the box... haven't actually gotten the bigger packs of meat but that is actually a good idea cause shop rite has meat in huge bags and i think they are pick 5 for 19.95 O.o not a bad deal if you ask me...

When we get our own place again were just getting netflix. and getting our internet through charter.

Most people don't know about the price per ounce thing. And the best time to do the meat thing is if you find a special sale on it, then you can stock up at the lower price and have it as long as you can.

Well I didn't actually learn some of them till I got with Lex. I didn't know the buying per ounce was cheaper than getting the bigger box before I got with him... He is really good with finances and all. XD so he is in charge of all of them and lets me know whats going on with them it works out.

Yeah i'm not worried about it though. Lex and I start work Sunday and I would be working for Lionbridge on our days off but meh if i don't hear from them that's fine.

Yeah... I still have no word on when I actually start working at Goodman... v.v Lex starts sunday at 3 45 am I gotta call back monday and see if they can tell me anything

The way I do it is every month however much money I get I take out 15% straight away and put it in my bank and don't touch it unless it’s really important.

We do our best to do that but it's been super rough for us lately and haven't been able to do that. But I start work Sunday ^^ so it's going to get easier.

Thanks Things are definitely going so much better. And after working 40 hrs benefits are available and they are giving employees free flu shots so Lex and I gotta look into that. Can't afford to be missing work.
