Choose the Less expensive cosplay from your list of popular characters. Expecially if that characters has to much props on him/her.
I have cosplay'ed many times before. For instance, there was a convention and I went as Len Kagamine from Vocaloid, while my overly sarcastic 13-year old Aunt went as Sora from Kingdom Hearts.
