    Pandora Hearts Empty Pandora Hearts

Post by Iru Thu Oct 28, 2010 12:18 pm

I still, no, still haven't catch up with the manga, but I decided to give it a try to the anime adaptation, ty TGM (I totally forgot about the adaptation).

I watched the omake specials first and I really fancied them. This made me raise my expectations of it, so I'm hoping it will surpass more than my fancy.
Now, about what I've watched. I like the seiyuus, especially Oz (of Joshua from Chrono Crusade), Alice (Ellie from RAVE) and Raven's (Saito Hajime from Hakuouki). I like the character designs so far and about the development it's going according the manga as far as I remember... Am very curious to know how it will turn.

Well, TGM, Pandora Hearts has a complex story and it develops as an unraveling system. You'll get deeper into the plot but by the end of the 25 episode, the story, definitely, is not over yet. I'm expecting a 2nd season.
It's a psychological thriller, even though it's not so noticeable as in the manga (frowns). But it still ended being a very enjoyable watch.
Heavy references to Lewis Carroll’s Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland and Through the Looking-Glass. (chuckle) Anything but conventional in here. But still lol'ing @ the omake ÒAÓ.

Sorry for the reply delay, TGM.

Well, I personally liked it, I don't know if you read the manga, but the anime adaptation was sucessful in faithfully putting them in motion.
I think they did a good job with the development; For Pandora Hearts peculiar psychological-thriller plot, the anime's development was surprisingly smooth and easily understood.
That aside, I also fancy a lot the way plot and characters are presented and developed. It was very good to see comedy.

The animation was good, even though I think they could have enhanced it to give more of the thriller of the manga. That's where I'm dissatisfied. The seiyuu were great.

I hope they do a 2nd season, the end leaves too many things in the air and it would be a shame to leave it so.

Anyway, (chuckle) it's really up to you if you don't mind when things get weirder...or a bit crazy.
