Condescending old people... >.<

Ok, so I have a friend and he is 21222222 and he posted a status on facebook saying something like he wished someone could understand or something like that... and this idiot old guy decided to be so inconsiderate and uncaring... and he was basically telling my friend to suck it up and grow up... but i mean yeah life is hard but sometimes we all need to know that someone cares and it's ok to tell the truth... but there is a difference and being blunt and and being an a** I mean really common guy... oh and it gets better he decides to tell me and my fiance' that he was superior to us and that we weren't helping my friend...

I was thinking ok so you think that since you have been alive longer than us that you automatically deserve our respect... ummm no guy you can keep dreaming your not getting my respect until you earn...

Am I wrong?

Well, I tend to have problums with that. I treat everyone the same, old or young, rich or poor, I dont even treat cops or my boss diffrently. Just cause you have a title doesnt make you more important. Im not a well liked guy, I will never kiss up to any one, and i have no problums letting people know the world does not revolve around them. Im a nice guy, just not as willing to pretend i like people as the avrage person. And jerks like that should be banned from the net

Well, it's like I told him just because he is older than me doesn't mean im going to cower to him...
He has to earn my respect like everyone else... and in my opinion someone being older than me doesn't make them any different than someone my age they have to show me that they deserve my respect... i'm not going to give it freely...

Every one should given a ammount of free respect, no piont in starting off rude to the. After that its up to them to earn more, or louse it all

I do show respect to ppl when i first meet them but in the end they usually lose it if they are hateful like that guy was but then again alot of old ppl are becoming hateful anyway

Uwa! I can't believe it! A few days ago i was so angry with old people that i wrote a blog post about it (well it's on my non-anime blog and it's in Romanian so it would be useless) and i had to unload all my anger there. I always though that old people, having gone through all the hardships in life, are wiser than young people. And i respected that and i respected them for that. However, in reality, there are only a few old people that actually get wise. Some others get crazy and others disregard everyone else exactly because of their age. They have the impression that age gives them permission to treat everyone like they're inferior to them and i hate that. We're all humans after all... I respect you, but you have to at least be polite...

I know exactly what you mean. Usually old people think they are entitled to do anything and to receive anything they want just because of their age. Well i don't find that ok. As i was saying, we're all humans and we should respect each other ...

Oh, yes, agreed. I found it cheap to use that argument. Right, you are half-dead already so you want to bound us with your frustrations? Gladly my grandparents aren't like that. Though my grandma likes a lot to show her grandchildren... very doting.

Oh that i understand. Old people showing off with their grandchildren. I actually like that. It just shows that the family has strong bonds. Or so i think anywayz...

Definitely if a grandparent enjoys showing off with their granchildren that i can see but for an old person who I don't even know to say im superior to you you should respect pssssshhhhh he can keep dreaming he doesn't deserve my respect.
